Bacon-Wrapped Dates

This elegant, easy-to-make recipe only requires two ingredients yet is great for elevated catering or as a popular, profitable appetizer to add to your menu.

Ingredients

1 pound bacon

2 dozen Medjool dates, pitted

Kosher salt, to taste (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Step 2

Cut bacon slices in half to create shorter slices for wrapping dates.

Step 3

Wrap each date with half of a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Step 4

Bake 15 – 18 minutes total, turning the dates approximately halfway through so the bacon is evenly cooked.

Step 5

Remove from oven and sprinkle dates with Kosher salt, if desired, to taste.

Step 6

Serve warm or at room temperature.
